Steve McQueen’s The Blitz tells the epic journey of George (Elliot Heffernan), a 9-year-old boy in World War II London, who is taken to safety in the English countryside by his mother Rita (Saoirse Ronan). George, defiant and determined to return to his mother and grandfather Gerald (Paul Weller) in east London, sets off on an adventure but finds himself in great danger when a desperate Rita searches for her missing son.
